Tri-series in Sri Lanka

The tri-series in Sri Lanka will be kicks off on August 10. The all matches are day and night matches (2.30 local / 2.30 IST / 9.00 NZST / 9.00 GMT) and will be held at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium.

The tri-series that participated India, New Zealand and Sri Lanka will be a great exposure after the Asia Cup. The series is most important for the participating teams. India and Sri Lanka played their last match on June 24 at the same stadium for Asia Cup final. India won the match with decent margin.

New Zealand was played only eight ODIs this year (three matches against Bangladesh and five matches against Australia). Their last match was on March 13 against Australia on Wellington.

India played 125 matches against Sri Lanka and 66 matches won. In 2010, India and Sri Lanka played 7 matches and 3 matches won. The two matches in the Asia Cup that held at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium. The teams won each one matches in the series.

India won 40 ODIs against New Zealand that played 81 matches between the teams. India and New Zealand played their last match with the Compaq Cup tri-nation series at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo on September 11, 2009. India won the match by 6 wickets.
